OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides leadership and direction in the deployment of information and communication technologies and systems to support the Pan American Health Organization/Regional Office of the Americas of the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in carrying out its mandate. Furthermore, ITS establishes and maintains strategies, policies, standards and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient provision of information and communication services in a geographically dispersed environment.

Description of duties:
Under the general supervision of the Director, Information Technology Services (ITS), and the direct supervision of the Senior Advisor, Applications Development and Support (ITS/AT), the incumbent is responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following duties:
a) Provide technical solutions to business process experts and business owners; document business processes, identify goals and gaps, and translate this into technical requirements and solutions for the Organization's PASB Management Information System (PMIS) enhancements and revisions, in close collaboration with business process experts;
b) Provide technical support to PMIS integrations in production and use IT tools to improve data interfaces and data integration through all components of PMIS;
c) Design, develop, configure and process deployment of projects & system enhancements, in collaboration with ITS Shared Services and Functional Areas;
d) Leverage business knowledge and expertise in the analysis of PMIS vendor updates to identify opportunities for process improvements, keep functional areas informed, and assist the deployment of vendor updates;
e) Develop test scenarios for in house changes and vendor updates, in collaboration with business process experts; coordinate testing exercises and assist testers to ensure requirements are met;
f) Responsible for the deployment of changes from sandbox to production to ensure PMIS integrity, project documentation and configuration management, in collaboration with ITS Shared Services and all Functional Areas;
g) Participate in the PMIS change management and go live support processes;
h) Manage PMIS updates, review and analyze the specific implications of software's new releases to PAHO respective business processes, develop a mapping of those changes, and educate business process experts about pros and cons of adopting any new modules or features;
i) Facilitate collaboration sessions with respective business owner, business process experts and end-user representatives;
j) Perform other related duties as assigned. |

Education:
Essential: A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business administration or other related field from an accredited institution.
Desirable: Workday training or certification would be an asset.

Technical Expertise:

-- Thorough understanding of administrative business processes such as budget, accounting, payroll, finance. personnel, and/or procurement, Knowledge of concepts and technical skills in systems analysis, application configuration, systems documentation, and management of applications implementation projects.
-- Familiarities with Project Management principles in order to ensure deliverables meet requirements and timelines.
-- Skills in specific products should include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar. In addition: Business process analysis, and cloud technologies.
IT Skills:
Demonstrated abilities and skills using MS Windows and office applications including SharePoint, MS Project, and MS Visio. Knowledge of Business Intelligence and technical architectures. Design and implementation of reporting and analytical solutions. Business Processes analysis and modeling. |
Experience:
Essential: Seven years of combined national and international progressively responsible experience in the management and support of enterprise business processes and applications.
Desirable: Experience in Workday implementation would be an asset. |
Languages:
Very good knowledge of English or Spanish with a working knowledge of the other language. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese would be an asset. |

This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation. |
